Even with Boston’s seasonality, inventory levels have trended downward over the past three years, but the number of homes for sale is now pushing through last year’s peak value. Prices stabilized in 2008, moved higher in 2009, and remained mostly flat this year. The good news? 2010 prices troughed above 2009 levels. The bad news? 2010 prices didn’t reach last year’s peak.
