My daily feeds included news about increasing home sales in Miami (from Inman News) and six-year low inventory levels in Orlando (from HousingWire).

The increasing home sales in Miami are reflected in higher asking prices in the short run (and have been for several months now):

Miami, FL: Median Ask Prices for Single-family homes (orange line) & Condos (black line)

Florida is a judicial state.  Active supply continues to be constrained.  Good in the short run, bad in the long run:

Active Housing Supply: Orlando MSA as of 5/06/13

Tampa is the only major Florida market year-over-year inventory increases:

Active Housing Supply: Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville & Fort Myers MSAs
